I liked My Name Is Earl, but I was expecting to LOVE it. I don't know what the missing element is, though. It certainly had plenty of good moments. I swear that thing has more flashbacks than Family Guy- and I didn't think that was possible. Jamie Pressly does 'trashy' way too well...and too often.
Still, it was only the first episode and there was alot it had to setup. I'll be back next week.

Even though I've never liked Adam Goldberg in anything, the write up for 'Head Cases' in Entertainment Weekly was intriguing enough for me to DVR the first episode. Since I'm hooked on too many shows as it is (The Office and Nip/Tuck both started up again last night and both delivered nicely) and I have my lawyer show-quota already filled by Boston Legal, I didn't think I would actually ever get around to watching it. But I made it through the Fox Sunday line up faster than expected and since ABC is dicking Boston Legal around I found time for it yesterday...and I dug it!
It's not a great show...but it almost is. Either that or there's just alot of elements of it that appeal to me. Like Chris O'Donnell getting cold-bloodedly screwed over by the company he worked for (ouch! too close to home) and having to start over from the bottom. Plus, there is just something (don't ask me what- je ne sais quoi?) about Chris O'Donnell that reminds me of
splitfoot (again- Don't ask).
I even liked Adam Goldberg in it...alot.
Go figger.
Just in time for the new episode tonight.

OK, I won't ask . . .
But damn. I don't know if I should be upset or not.
